is it possible to power haysteamer by leisure battery?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi I don't have mains power on my yard but preffer to feed steamed hay better as good for horses and they don't like soaked hay as much, I currently steam hay at house and take it to yard or take kettles to steam it with but as I'm hoping to use battery power to light yard soon I was wondering if anyone had powered a small steamer this way(or even kettles). I will recharge batteries regularly so that wouldn't be problem!

any other suggestions welcomed!

many thanks!

I would think you'd need an invertor to power one from a leisure battery.

Why don't you buy a generator? You can get them at reasonable prices new but even better prices used on ebay. Just work out what you need to power i.e lights & steamer & then get the appropriate one with sufficient power. Depending on what the wattage is of the steamer & kettle you may need a 2kw or remember not to have both steamer & kettle on at the same time. ;)

This has got to be a better way to get power to your yard rather than messing about charging up batteries etc? :)
