To introduce an older (17) horse to driving? He's 100% laidback and relaxed, but clever too. I know he wouldn't be scared, it's just whether he'd be able to actually do it.

Also, what sort of cart would you go for? I have very little experience driving, I just know the basics!

^ I agree, and age doesn't matter so long as there are no physical problems - and at 17 he still has years ahead of him!

Just take it slow and you shouldn't have problems. Someone I know however, decided to actually get in the cart and drive properly, with a passenger too, after the horse's (nervous) first session of being attached to a cart. Surprising that the cart ended up overturned isn't it...? Luckily no-one was seriously hurt, but I think they learned a lesson there.
