my word this rain here in east yorkshire is coming down hard and fast...

i hope we dont have a repeat as last year flooding!.

It was lovely at 8:30 this morning when the farrier came - then has p*ssed it down from about 10:00 and hasn't let up slightly all day !! Water is coming up out of the drains !! I really hope it isn't like last year as well - i've got to go to York tomorrow !
 
It's been on and off all day but nothing torrential. Started to rain more heavily at about 4.30 and hasn't stopped yet. Have just been out and rugged up my mare as she lives out.
 
i certainly hope it stops! cant be dealing with looking at the news with all them poor people and the houses and busineses.

Yes, chucking it down! And my horses won't come in either. No summer sheet or anything. One is a Welsh Section D so he will be ok, but the other is a warmblood who is a wuss! Hope they don't get a chill?

No - dry, a little overcast, but really quite warm. 25 degrees today and the forecast for tomorrow and the weekend is similar.

Mind you, we've had some pretty horrific thunderstorms in the past couple of weeks, with hailstones like golf balls.....(honest!).

Yeah its chucking it down, I'm in Huddersfield too. I'm sat here feeling guilty because my mare has her rug on (she is an old girl) but I haven't put the new boys rug on so feel real bad now!!
 
It started raining here in Cambs just as I got the last bale of hay in off the field. Could have done with an extra day but at least it isn't drenched now as it is tipping it down. I just love the English summer
 
very fine drizzle here in Colchester, its been raining for an hour or so but hardly anything at all really. Hope it doesn't rain too much my girly is out naked tonight

its now near enough midnight just got in from darts and its on and off now... checked the roads what normally flood nothing as of yet so fingers crossed.... i got soaked this evening too bringing the horses in .... ...
