I have changed horses names before, and they didn't melt, like someone else said - they respond to the tone and syllables not the name.

I've changed the name of every horse I've bought! On horse number 7 now, and I think I've had pretty good luck ! but I'm not superstitious anyway. I believe in chance, more than luck.
