Is it reasonable... another YO / YM thread

Do you already have the pony to keep your old boy company? If not, just wondering if you could compromise and help yourself at the same time by letting her keep one out to stay with your old boy? Less work for her, a ready made companion for you and one less overall on the fields. A win-win?

This would be perfect but I do have a small pony already. He's a very quiet 11hh and has teeny tiny feet, and probably doesn't do much damage to the land.

Absolutely, your yard and your rules! Nobody HAS to livery with you if they don't like it. I don't think you should spend another moment thinking about this, OP. Why should any YO have to behave like a livery?

You don't have the land. end of. However your comment about not keeping the best fields is a bit concerning. Its your land, your worry, your financial commitment. I would assume you would keep the best for yourself otherwise why did you bother buying your own place in the first instance? I never had an issue with any YO wanting to have the best fields or stables..its small recompense for all the hassle they have.

My thoughts exactly. Your land, your place. Keep the best of your facilities for you. Rent out the rest. You aren't another livery, you are owner.
