Is it rude?

We’ve only been BF since Jan so I didn’t realise how quickly they grow in summer! Think I’m going to get a riders rasp as I really struggle with a regular rasp.

I use one of those between trims, they're easy to use and keep their feet tidy and chip free.

Never any harm in asking but given how hard a fellow livery found it to get someone out to remove a stuck-solid twisted shoe then I can see it being a real struggle for a trim.

It used to annoy me on my old yard that my lovely reliable farrier would turn up to trim my lad and be inundated with 'while you're here could you just do......'

I don't think it's rude to ask, recently I had no choice as my farrier got injured and put out of action on the day he was due to trim my horse. I had a nightmare trying to find someone else, of the 10 I contacted one managed to fit us in about a week later which I was very grateful for, the rest either didn't reply or could only do 2 or 3 weeks later. Completely understand how busy they are though and not wanting to go out of their way for a trim!
