Is it safe to spray paint a horse with human hair spray paint?

We are taking my daughter to a fancy dress on Sunday & would like to go as Racing Stripes (she is obsessed with being a Jockey lol).

The horse is black & we thought the easiest way to do the stripes is the white spray paint. I have seen it at party shops for humans to spray their hair & wondered if anyone has used it on their horse.

If you have, is it easy to get off afterwards & will it smudge (ie can I spray him before we leave yard, then travel him in the trailer)?

Any ideas welcome, this is the first show I have seen anywhere near us that does fancy dress & my daughter would really like to do it but I don't want to do anything that may harm the horse.

I'd check the instructions on the can very carefully first! It may be that, in small amounts, under a nice hot shower, with loads of re-applications of shampoo, it's fine for human hair. In large quantities with the only washing facilities a cold hose, outside and in the middle of a cold snap, it might be a different story. Why not just make a numnah in the exact racing stripe colours as the rider will be wearing? Or get a cheap white bed sheet (or old lightweight rug) and sew or paint the stripes on that, then put it under the saddle on the day?

Thanks for the reply, yes I agree with you re the hot shower etc. I was worried about going ahead & him having a skin reaction to it. I never thought of the bed sheet, brilliant idea :)
