Tie up water containers, buckets, skips etc.. in a trailer when towing? I've always made sure they are secure but just wondered what you all thought? Especially if you are short of room in the towing vehicle? Thanks
I wouldnt, in case of accidents it is just going to give you more things to deal with. We have 2 horses and can fit everything we need into a SWB 3 door truck with some interesting packing
Yep, we have on several occasions - moved horse plus shavings, plus hayledge etc for a yard move and to go to over night shows. Make use of baler twine & bungee ties, then rattle the whole lot and jump up and down a bit, see if anything works loose then back to the baler twine & bungee ties!
We do. You have to make sure its bungee'd in tight but we always carry water, 2 flexi buckets, handled skip and skip fork in the "nose" section of our trailer. There are several handy hook things there for just that purpose. We've even had pony on one side, wheelbarrow, feed, bedding, mucking out stuff etc all bungee'd in to the other side (with a partition!) to get to PC camp. You have to be sure its secure - but other than that theres no reason not to.
