Hi all

Out of the whole T4 range, is it the Thorowgood Cob saddles only that have the straight, square cantle instead of the rounded 'normal' GP saddles?

Also, is it also only the Cob saddles (in Thorowgood range) that have the 4 girthing straps, where you can change where they go-dont the 'normal' GP saddles only have 3 straps and set in place? Sorry trying to identify a saddle!!

Don't know about Thorowgood but the leather saddles they do (the Kent and Masters) the cob saddle in that range certainly has a square cantle so, as made by the same company I would assume the same would be said for the Thorowgood one. Can't help with the girth straps though although I believe you may be able to move them into different postions?

I think so! I have the Kent and Masters cob gp saddle (leather version of thorowgood) and it has the square cantle and 4th girth strap option. Have you looked on the throwogood website?

Ahh thank you you lot are brill! I am after a thorowgood with adjustable gullet (non cob!) and I found one on ebay BUT the pic has straight cantle so I thought it was a cob one, but just says its a GP one!! Def not bidding on it now and THANK YOU so much else I would have wasted money :)

argh no, I dont know now! I have looked at their website, but as these saddles are second hand then of course they may have updated the models by now.

I know, didnt think it would be so hard. Well the second link, they have confirmed this is a cob saddle. So I am not going to risk it. Someone local has a wintec close contact for sale. As much as I prefer thorowgood, I may get this wintec...but not sure! Never been keen on them but I guess they are ok really?
