I am considering doing, possibly what I should have done a long time ago, and affiliate me and the 'hoss.

Do you actually get more opportunity to get involved with clinics, training days/invitations and development?

I know what and where I should aim but need a bit of direction so will it help with this also?

Obvious questions I know but I haven't had any experience of it so asking the experts :)

If you look on the regional page for your area on BD website will give you idea of training and activities available. Generally open to all but discounted for BD members.

Yes definitely. Depends on your region but there are training opportunities (not all very local but getting much better) and the chance to apply for regional teams. If you're 25 or under you can join BYRDS too.

I affiliated last year at a bd have a go day so got bog off deal, worth looking out for. My area do lots of training and there are quite a few bd comps locally although most are week days so I still do more unaffiliated at the moment. I'm at elementary level and the standard can be very high affiliated so it can be a little intimidating esp as my local centre is Addington so do get quite a few names there! Not sure if I will renew when time comes but that's more because he is getting older than anything else.
