Is it worth Part exing ? Horseboxes again SORRY

Right well ,
We have an 'E' reg MAN 8136 we were going to have it re-sprayed and the living redone .
Is it worth spending 5-6k on it , or could we get a decent box for that money if we part-exed current lorry ?

How much approx is it worth
a) In a private sale
b) To a dealer ?

Any ideas ?

If you like the body is it worth swapping it to a new Chasis? My sister bought an S reg Iveco Box lorry for £3k

The body is the part that needs the work (tired paintwork few scratches / bumps) but the lorry will never be worth what we payed for it plus 6 grand

. But dont think we could get anything much better

If it is reliable, you like driving it and it is only cosmetic why you wuold want to swap it, I would keep it.

why spend 5-6k on it. you need about £1500 for a metalic paint job, interior can be done for less then £1000 if you do the work yourself! We are in the process of re doing our living and having a shower and loo installed as well as running hot water going to cost us around £800 to redo the entire living. dont buy from horsebox people go to caravan sales people and you will get a much better deal.

We have been quoted 2800 for a respray and that was the best price

Me + DIY don't go , but I will deffinately enquire at caravan shops instead now
