..to join BD?

I've been questioning doing it for a while, since Pepper's dressage has actually got very good now!
Would getting some points under his belt make him worth more? (sorry, that sounds really bad!!)

Thanks

If you don't mind the travelling then absolutely I would say!
There is affiliated stuff at Lluest (Aber uni) and Cardigan Bay have an affiliated dressage festival in June but there is nowhere else in Ceredigion holding affiliated stuff. Cel Aeron was but aren't this year, I don't think.

Hi we joined on line yesterday. We have joined for the music and will register the horse later. The horse does'nt have to be registered to qualify but will have to be on the final. Has any one got any idea how I apply for music rights. and what's the difference from restricted and open. What section will I be new comer to this. horse has know points

To apply for music rights you just get in touch with BD or download a form from the website, then fill in the details (title, singer/band/orchestra, and the number of the cd or record its from) plus how many mins secs of each track you have used. They send you back stickers to put on the cd so that the show center know its legal.

You are a newcomer so will be a group 8 rider and can do restricted section in all classes. As soon as you get a point at novice you will be a group 7 rider but can still do restricted sections. When you get a point at Elem you will be a group 6 rider and will have to do open section at novice. After 1st December you will be able to get 14 points at a higher level before your grade goes up.
At the moment assuming you are just going to be doing novice you will be restricted, but the idea of it is that if a rider gets points at a higher level any classes they do below that they have to do the Open section.

Thanks very much Law!

Probably won't start til January, so I'll do some investigating - going up to Rogers & Taylor's in Bow Street on Saturday for some new rugs, so I'll check there - they usually have umpteen schedules so will look!
