My farrier is a total babe!

We always chat and he spends longer than required at the stables with me.

Nothing has happened, yet, but i think it will. Only problem is he has a partner, someone talk me out of this!

Yes it is wrong. It's such a cliche, I wouldn't even go there tbh. I'm always friendly with my farriers, I think of my farrier as a friend actually and he's nice and the same age as me but I would never flirt with them. It's so predictable. I found someone much more suitable than a man who hangs around with bored, flirty horsie girls trying to get in their pants all day :p.

No go for it!....then if.... and that's a very big if.... he decides to leave his partner for you then you can spend what little time you have together living with the paranoia that he cheated with you so he'll probably cheat on you :D Match made in heaven

On every level it is wrong. If he is a good farrier would you want to lose him? If he has a partner he would do the same to you if it went any further, and you would never trust him!

Disaster waiting to happen!

A certain famous farrier, whose tv show has just aired on horse and country used to shoe my horse. We would flirt all the time, but it was just a bit of fun because we got on really well anyway. I think everybody is right in saying it's not a good idea. Just keep it light hearted and innocent, would he still be with his partner if he was really that into you?

If he was single, then go for it.

But the fact that you KNOW he has a partner is a whole different ball game. If you didn't know and he didn't tell you, then it would be completely his fault.

I certainly would have to do a lot of soul searching to knowingly do that to another woman...

I thought it was compulsory! ;)

Flirting, that is - no more! Not a good idea, especially if he has a partner.

He was a bit of alright wasn't he?! If he's the one I'm thinking of, I did think he was gay on that other tv show of his though!

haha...he's gorgeous and just a really nice guy. slightly camp I must admit but we'll let him off. he is also an outstanding farrier and as previous comments have mentioned, it wouldn't have been worth loosing him as a professional over a few silly flirtations. If you know where the boundaries are its fine but otherwise...

I have to say that most of the farriers I have know who specialise in Er should I say serious flirtatious with cilents seem very good at staying friends after so it's not seem that losing your farrier is a big risk not that I am encouraging any one.

Let me put it this way. As a married woman I would say any woman who sets her cap at a man who is in a relationship with someone else intending to break that relationship up is a total bitch.

Clear enough for you?

But as he is not, no. Don't do it!! I have been heart broken and cheated on so many times because of things like this.

Find yourself a nice, cute, single farrier to flirt with ^^

My farrier flirted with me..... (Think its part of the job description) and we have been together for the last 9 months. But he was single to start off with.

Your probably not the only one he's flirting with! Dont take it any further, just keep everything how it is :)

Devils advocate here. I wont go in for all the once a cheat always a cheat etc, it crap - to put it politely - depends why the person cheated :)

Also sisterhood? Nowadays most women will stab you in the back given half a chance!

And any woman who knowingly intends to break up a relationship up may be a bitch but not as big a ******* as the man who allows it to happen behind his wifes back ;) You can't be 'stolen' unless you are unhappy.

It grates on me, the 'other woman' hatred!

Someone quoted sisterhood, I think sisterhood is a very old fashioned idea especially around horsy women. I dont think there is any such thing unfortunately :(

'The other woman hatred' comes from all the home wrecking bitch quotes, the only person who promised to be faithful to the wife is the husband, the 'other woman' promised no such thing so why hate her?

I've unknowingly been the 'other' woman, I was gone the minute I found out. I've also been the cheated on, it my case the 'other' woman was well aware I existed and that I had a toddler and a young baby. My OH's 'unhappiness'? dirty nappies and no sex on demand! Believe me if a woman knowingly cheats with someone she knows is in a relationship she 'is' a bitch and the hatred is well deserved!
