Is my horse a weirdo?

My horsey is a weirdo! Was thinking about it today....
She spooks at the jumps in the school if you ride past them (everytime!), but point her at them in trot or canter and she jumps them no problem....lol does anyone elses horse do this?

My mare is exactly the same. She spooked at barrels in the school almost everyday for a year... she jumped them on a regular basis!!! I think it is just their way of taking the mickey out of us!!

If the poles are at the side of the school then they are likely to jump out and eat you. If they are in the school they are fine to walk or trot over!

I knew several school horses who did this. Then again school horses are the cleaverest of them all!

Horse I ride is terrified of those weedy white flowers (can't think what they're called) that fill hedgerows in summer. Jumps from side to side, snorting at them. But quite happy to eat them if we stop.
