I keep reading about all these horses wearing pink.
oh dear, i feel like a bad mum. My chestnut mare has nothing pink (except a ride on sheet which i got terrible abuse for from my friends). She has brown leather headcollar, grey nubuck one and black webbing one. Brown numnah, she hasn't even got a blingy browband. mainly Green and blue rugs. Black boots, blue stable chaps. Am I wicked?
I don't really wear pink although i am partial to a bit of bling, but should i deprive my horse?

Are you for real?

I admit, I gave in and despite years of refusing anything other than 'sensible, BHS approved colours' I gave in and bought.............................................................

pink reflective bands, pink quarter sheet AND a blingy browband.

I'm ringing the RSPCA now, how could you deprive your horse in this way?

P.S. could you have a word with my daughter who now wants to add a pink wheelbarrow to her collection of everything pink - only problem is her poor pony is a gelding

Yes, your horse IS deprived. My veteran, one-eyed, fat, liver chestnut GELDING looks stunning in pink so a chestnut mare will look the bees knees. NB: it is one of the great truths of the universe that it takes a REAL MALE to wear pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree! A proper 'ginger' should not wear pink!!!!! It just doesn't work!!

However......

My girly is a beautiful light chestnut with a blonde mane and tail and she just looks totally stunning in her pink sparkly headcollar!

And her browband, saddlecloth, rainsheet, reflective noseband and tail guard. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want one of the fab cerise pink thermatex rugs!!!!!

I'm so sad I know! You don't need to tell me!!!

hmm i will take all the comments on board. She just isn't really a girly sort of girl. Please don't call the authorities but I think we will abstain from the pink thing at the mo.
