Hi,
I have a piebald gypsy cob from Ireland, I have noticed on her shoulder (which is White) there is a dark White 'S' on her.
I understand that on grays/white horses the freeze Mark should not leave remaining hair an you should be able to see skin. I also realise that on coloureds they are normally done on a coloured patch.
It's is defiantly coloured hair not dirt...I have come to think that maybe if she was owned with alot of other horses like gypsies have maybe it was just to tell who's who? :s
