Is my horse just a giant pansy?

So yesterday I was having a jumping lesson, and my horse had a pole down with a fairly big whack but carried on and jumped a few more fences. We then walked about for a bit while the course was changed, and when we went back in to trot he was quite lame in front. Lesson abandoned.

He stayed in today to rest, and when I trotted him up tonight and he was totally sound with no heat or swelling.

He is quite precious with himself so could this lameness just have been caused by a bang on a heavy wooden pole? Seeing he's sound today, is he rideable tomorrow?

did he hit with foot or leg? on a boot?

Bone bruises hurt a lot :( (from my own personal experience)

There are also alot of important tendons on the front on the leg.

if he hit is foot / coronary band - if there is inflammation there is no where for it to expand (think laminitis pain)

A little more time i think
