A simple question really, does anyone else have a mare that is showing a bit of her season?
Mine has been 'flirting' for 2 days now and i can't say i was expecting it in November. I know it's been mild though or am i on the wong track!?

yes! a couple of weeks ago......i didn't even think anything of it or think it was unusual, its just been so warm that it doesnt even seem like november...! we need some cold weather to sort us all out! 30 days till xmas......

Yes! A couple of weeks ago mine had her tartiest ever season. Was ploughing through her electric fence to get over to the boys and be very naughty. She's not normally that bad at all!

Phew glad i'm not the only one, i always warn people that mine is a floozy. People are surprised by how quiet she is under saddle, not that she is really naughty when flirting but she does love to work and doesn't change when in season. At least i know it's not just her!

Alfs girlfriend had to spend a few days in solitary last week for that very reason. She's 20, and not usually a floozy when she's in season, but boy did she make up for years of good behaviour. She was a complete trollop, and had to be removed from the group for her own safety, and the boys peace of mind!!

Ah i'm not the only one with a speshul mare then!
Only thing that worried me is that she seemed to kind of flirt with her field mate - who is a mare too!
Silly girl must have have had a mixed up moment...

Yes mine has been flirting with her favourite mare over the fence too, about 3 weeks ago she was squirting loads it was kind of gross haha, then today I noticed a bit of this behaviour too so maybe starting again! She doesn't really get stroppy or anything just very noisy and vocal when we are out!

Yes my Asbo mare is in season at the mo. I know this as she is squealing and tarting for her favourite gelding who is loving the attention  She is just a trollop really *sigh*

Yep my oldie and youngster are both back in season. Youngster being particularly annoying with it.

Reminds me why I originally set out to get a gelding!

My pony would come into season every 3 weeks or so... If not more often, no matter what time of year it was!! Was such a tart!:D

Yep mare in season! On the dot every 3 weeks! She's a moo bag the day before, kicks! Then after that she's 'in lurve'!

So mild at the moment!

Our trees are in bud! Complete bonkers!

I just noticed today that the hedges that were cut over a month ago have got green growth on them, feel like i have skipped a few months..... if only then could avid the xmas hassle!

Still glad to know mine isn't the only flirty hoss, so glad it doesn't change her too much just a bit embarrassing when she 'does her thing'!

Yup - I too have a bunch of slappers making eyes at the stally across the paddock - luckily he's more interested in his food than them so hasn't encouraged them!!:D
