He looks like a nice young man. I'm afraid that in the current market he is overpriced IMO, i bought a 14.2 coloured 6 yr old in Dec that has been quietly ridden (no schooling at all) for £700
Good luck, hope that you find him a super home.
dont think he is overpriced as he is quiet to handle and has seen traffic etc so groundwork has clearly been done. If he hadnt had any handling or not seen traffic etc then yes. Looks rather sweet.
He is a smart young man but the ad photos do not really show him very well, a side on would be better so that conformation can be seen. Also you do not mention his sire who I believe is doing very well in dressage competitions and is siring good stock for showing. Does he move well and straight as a potential show prospect, have you shown him, any extra info can help attract people to him.
I think hes worth £1000. Can you bath him, plait him, tack him up (bridle and roller at least) and take a proper side on, stood up photo? The one you have does nothing for him. Good luck.
He's a little over priced, esp for his size, with a poor photo. It makes him look like a 'nothing special' coloured cob X and they're ten a penny. My friend's been looking for something very similar and is finding plenty of rising 2yr olds for under £300. It's only once they get over 15hh that the price goes up.
He's not got nearly enough feather to market him as a hairy, so trim everything off (plait his name) and get a GOOD photo of him side on.
Agree that he is priced about right, but to get that sort of money you really need to tart him up to sell him - at the moment he looks like he is being sold "from the field" with no preparation. A good bath, plait, fully tacked up and preferably with someone sat on him would be good and another shot if you can of him all tarted up being led from other horse in traffic. If you have lent over him to get someone sat on him shouldnt take too long to built up to. He will then suddenly look like a ridden horse.
If he were bigger I would be tempted ! good luck x
Too expensive! He's a year off backing so will cost someone in the long term. Has no specific breeding that could "suggest" potential. If he was a hand bigger than yes 1000 would be suitable. I've seen some nice backed and ready to bring on 3 or 4 year olds for that price. In my opinion 750 would be the top price. You also don't mention if hes fully vaccinated/microchipped etc
I would be surprised if he sells, I have an 18 month old to make 15.2hh/16hands. Similar breeding but a bit smarter and I cant get £500 for him!
My rising 4yr old 14 hh blanket spot, welsh PB, been sat on but blank slate really, same thing. Both are exceptionally easy and would be fine as some ones first youngster. They are both really smart, nice movers, good conformation etc and no one wants them!
I have to agree from your add he looks over priced you really need to smarten him up and get some much better pics he look svery immature in the pics you have hun
I think he's worth £1000. But why are you advertising him as 'lives alone/in company?! That will encourage people to buy him thinking he doesn't need company, which is terribly cruel for a youngster.
To be honest, even with him tarted up I think you'll struggle to get that. I'd be looking £800 tops for him with a nice photo like others have said. You could hold out, but you'll get more interest if he's priced according to the current climate.
