I have advertised my little 12hand mare for sale on Horsemart, horsehunter and a few free sites and still heard nothing a week later?!
Any ideas on other places to advertise as we are in risk of looseing the land we rent and she needs to be sold soon really!

seems that way, I had to sell my motorbike at half the current market value as after 3 months in a bike trader, i had no calls, same seems to be applying to everything, people seem to be holding on to their cash with the credit crunch.

Its definately the time to buy if your after a bargain,

Good luck

Sympathies. My friend is trying to sell two ponies (not the easiest ponies in the world but lovely kind sort) but has only had one response. I have put them on
NewRider
HorseHunter
StableAds
StableTalk
Equine Advertiser
My own site
and she has put them in local tack shops and Horsemart.

Must be wrong time of year or just no money.

I was going to suggest PC website too. Also, are you askiga sensible, realistic price? A friend of mine was looking recently and finding a suitable 2nd pony was provinga nightmare as they were either too much for the kid or people were wanting silly amounts for them. She eventually found one throuigh word of mouth locally that she knew well (although i still think she paid too much for a 12hh pony but hey ho)!

Try telling everybody you know to be honest, sometimes it's quite amazing how horses and ponies change hands just by cropping up in conversation

I have just sold my 12.2hh NF pony, IMO for less than she was worth. I advertised her for less than she is worth anyway as I wanted a quick sale - I had three calls, and all wanted a top FEI pony for the money they were looking to spend (despite me advertising her as a fun pony, NOT a competition pony).

Anyway, in desperation I dropped the price just below the £2000 and was instantly inundated with calls - first person who came to see her after the price drop, bought her, but I could have sold her a few times over.

I have to say that I have been looking for a while, and I just think the prices in the UK, are way too high.
JC, (preparing to be shot down in flames!!!)

Have sold both of mine but both for less than originally hoped.
It is deffinately all about the price though- things ARE selling, if they are cheap enough! The phone was off the hook for both of mine as they where cheap in comparison to most things on the market!
