He came back this afternoon from a walk down the street, said that hes going to get a tattoo of Mae rearing on his arm with Emilys Presence (her show name) below the pic.

His mum left me money when she died to buy her as she knows how much i loved the horse. I gave her the show name Emilys Presence in memory of his mum. Like Mae she was a strong minded woman and never put up with crap from anyone.

He said it was a present for me as he knows how much Mae means to me and a memory for his mum. Dont know if hes nuts or sweet.

I am against people having names on their bodies to an extent but I think it is a very sweet idea, and it is in a place where it can be covered up.

I was shocked, i wondered why he was looking for a pic this morning of Mae, thought he might be going to get it framed, but apparently it was to make up the design.

I dont like peoples names on tattoos unless their own children, but this is starting to grow on me. I personally hate tattoos, he said it was to show me and his mum that he cares for us.

depending on where abouts on his arm he gets it tattooed he should be okay, although he might get the odd gypsy bare-knuckle boxing champion coming up to him and saying 'I'll fight ye for a caravan!'

It's a bit of a strange idea but I think it's quite sweet. He's obviously thinking of you & trying to do something nice even if he may be a little off the mark.

As much as i LOVE tattoos i would be careful, im having a horse head tattooed on to my wrist for my birthday with Indiana underneath but what i have found from the various tattoo artists i have spoken to about the design is that horses are quite hard to capture on a small area because of the pure detail involved in getting the character of the individual horse.

Im not saying that this one wont be nice but i have known people go out and try and get their horses heads tattooed on to them and when the tattooist has finished instead of looking like their beloved steed its more like a random blackpool donkey.

Although saying that im looking forward to the pictures.
