Is any one else's in medium weight rugs already? :o

Layla had hers on for the first time tonight as she was quite tucked up after a wet and windy, cold night last night in just a lightweight (she's out 24hrs a day at the moment).
But now I'm panicking that she'll be too hot. What is your beasty wearing?

Paddy was in a lite last night and i did think this morning that he wasn't overly warm so i left it on , at tea time he'd had a good old roll so he was probably a bit warm. It's really windy down here tonight and i don't think its that warm so it wont be long before the mw's go on.

Often lightweight rugs do more harm than good, as they flatten the hair and stop the horse keeping warm naturally.
We have brought our horses back in (the oldest is 30) because the weather has turned so wet and windy. We are usually quite hard hearted but after the high temperatures of last week, we are worried that the old girl will suffer in this.

tonight is the 1st night i have put a MW on my horse. Shes fully clipped (in at nights) and its 7 degrees here- we are in chilly & very windy scotland :D
