is she getting enough?

my mare is being fed:

ride and relax (allen and page) and applechaff

will she be getting enough vits and minerals etc from this or should i add a supplement?

Are you feeding the R&R at the rate that they suggest for a horse of that size? (Should tell you on the bag, but if not ring or email Allen & Page and ask them). If you are then no extra vit/mins are needed.

If you are feeding significantly less than they suggest, then you might want to feed a vit/min supplement as well. If you are feeding half the recommended amount of R&R, then feed half the recommended amount of supplement.

shes only been having it for 2 days as have only just started her on it but i`m increasing it as we go along

Check with them but A&P told me that feeding 1kg/day of any of their feed would contain the right nutrient balance that you do not need a daily supplement. After that you are feeding for calories (energy)
