Muppet fractured her pedal bone at the beginning of the year. It has healed as per x ray, and she has been back in 'proper' work for about 2 1/2 months. Her new rider and her did their first dressage test last week, but looking at the video I am not convinced that she is sound on her near fore (fracture leg).

If anyone has a few minutes to spare, I would appreciate any thoughts - not on the rider, it was their first dressage test, but on her soundness. I have her booked in at the vet for an evaluation, but just wanted to know if I am completely paranoid or not!

Thanks!

It's difficult because of the white and black legs which can make a horse's movement look unbalanced anyway - or at least to me!

I thought maybe she had a slightly shorter stride with her near fore but this could be for a number of reasons including poor surface, rider not pushing horse forward from behind or maybe as a result of the injury.
I am known at my yard for spotting even miniscule lameness so please don't go with my view if all others think she's sound!
What I would say though is you know her best and if you think she's not quite right then she probably isn't. She does look very happy and relaxed going round though

I thought she looked a little uncomfortable on corners and comming down from canter - yes near fore I think but different coloured legs can be misleading.

I don't think she is "lame" but more comming off the near fore more quickly if that makes sense?

Lovely horse and I thought nicely ridden. Hope she is ok - the ground has been very hard so maybe it is down to that.

Yes, she is lame, on her left fore and right hind.Only midly!
She could be just a typical moving cob tho, they do tend to be quite short striding all round.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it is much appreciated

I didn't think that she was consistently lame, just seemed that she was taking lame strides occasionally, particularly on corners. Off to the vet shortly, so hopefully soon find out what they think!
