HMD, I think it is good that you are thinking about it, I don't think you are too big for him, but he is quite fine so I can see why you would question how much weight he would be happy carrying.

You look very happy together! I hope you have lots of fun together!!

If that is a fine horse then I am the queen of Siam!!

The horse is a middleweight, and in hunting terms (as I would think you should know) capable of carrying 12-14 stone for a days hunting.
Regardless of the riders weight, they look like a perfectly well suited combination (even if her stirrups look long

).

Sorry I wasn't even going to reply to this but you really wound me up!

Quite fine? Were we looking at the same photo's?

HMD you have no worried, you are an excellent match and your horse is more than capable of carrying you.

As others have said, they look like the perfect duo, the horse is clearly happy carrying her.

Why why why is anyone over a size 10 considered "big" (or considers themselves "big")?? Rider looks a healthy weight and horse is happy and able to carry her.

In a way I'm with Starbucks - it is right and good that all riders think about the health and happiness of their horses when ridden. Don't think the horse would be considered a 'fine' type though.

Certainly not, if anything she looks perfectly matched to her horses size/weight/confirmation etc and she should be thankful that she looks the way she does on her horse, wish my legs were shorter!
