My horse is living out at the moment but I'm concerned about her weight and the amount of grass she's eating. I would like her in during the day because the sugar content in the grass is much higher but it's not possible. So I was wondering if it would be beneficial to bring her in at nights instead even though she would be grazing the sugary grass during the day?

If you are worried about her weight then being in over night is better then being out 24/7 :)

Our fatties are in over night as we came to the conclusion that they graze a lot more when out over night, whereas when they are out during the day they seem to do a lot more snoozing/standing in the shade.

ETA - Another option could be putting a grazing mask on her or fencing her off into a small bare patch.

I think that by having them in over night they are generally off the grass longer- say 5pm till 7am- 14 hrs and on grass in day for only 8. So I would imagine it would balance out? X

Fructose in grass is apparently highest right after dawn, I think, so out overnight is not ideal, unless you catch in very early. Restricting grazing with strip grazing, a muzzle, less time out and crucially, more exercise, are all important factors.
