Is the grass still growing?

I'm certain grass still continues to grow in my paddock, albeit at a much slower rate - maybe this is wishful thinking!

I've fenced off the top half to save the ground for the worst of the winter and turning around on Friday and keeping in overnight as the horse clearly doesn't want to stay out now and keeps trying to escape out of the gate when I turn out at night.

One of the ladies at the yard reckons her grass in her garden is still growing. Another reckons no way is it growing.

What do you think?
 
Yep we still have grass coming out of our ears. It is still relatively warm (apart from Sunday and Monday very heavy frosts). Flies are still about as well so fat ladies got fly sheets on - I resisted rugging them over the weekend in the very vague hope they will shiver a few calories off.
 
Thanks all, I'm glad the consensus is that it is still growing. I've stomped most of the divots down and poo picked the section I've fenced off, so hoping I've helped it along somewhat :)

It's looking quite mild for the time of year by us, especially on Friday and the next few days are just the odd shower or two, hopefully with the dry weather we have had over the last few days the ground will soak it up and it will dissapear!! Feeling quite positive now!

Despite the rain and being fertilised my winter paddocks have only about 3 inches growth in the last 2 months. I had to use them for a bit mid summer as no rain meant the summer paddocks were bare but they’ve been ungrazed since. My lawn at home however has had double the growth in a quarter of the time.

No idea on the pH it’s not my land. I think from what we were told it was mainly a slow acting fertiliser that would promote some growth this year but better growth next year. They did it rather late though. Its a farming estate so they should know their soils. It’s green but quite short. My two are like locusts so it won’t last long. I’ve already been feeding hay on their summer paddocks one of which was also fertilised. Moved them over to these ones yesterday.

Farmer next to us on dartmoor cut &baled late November last year.
The field still greened up & grew before spring
 
OH has a thermometer that records the night time lows and day time highs for a week. Our garden is very sheltered but so far we haven't gone below 11 at night and have reached day time highs of 17. The horses are still producing green and smelly poo so I'd say yes it is still growing.
 
Yup - all the summer paddocks are closed off now and were harrowed just before all the flooding. Have greened up nicely already but this will inevitably slow down/stop once it gets colder.

Another that has a lawn that could also be cut again, but sadly too wet and doubt we will get a dry/mild enough spell to do it until Spring.
 
We are gardeners and have noticed this week that things are starting to slow down but they are definately still growing. My horse would be happy to stay out, Im having to walk over the field to get her and her belly definately rules her head lol
 
My paddocks still have some grass, but last night for the first time, my 2 followed me about as I was poo picking. That’s usually the sign that they’re hungry, so put some hay out for them. We’ve had a couple of hard frosts this week. There was definitely a bit less poo last night as well.
