Is the HHO forum cliquey?

I'm not sure that it is, I think there are definitely multiple cliques, people that seem to 'gel' when they are bantering and so banter a lot between themselves (not necessarily excluding others from the banter but some over sensitive people often seem to see it this way). Generally, I think where genuine help is needed, most pull together and give the best advice they can. I do genuinely think this forum is the most helpful and knowledgeable of all the internet forums although it also attracts it fair share of trolls who often try to disrupt threads!

As a relativly newbie, I can't say I've noticed any cliquey-ness at all, I actually find it quite strange really because every forum I go on is cliquey. In all fairness though I don't tend to venture out of NL.

Cliquey-ness is often said as though it's a bad thing, to me it's just friends who get on well.

Ditto above. There are some very straight talkers who don't mince their words, so be prepared for reading some short sharp answers to queries sometimes! There are also some very funny people and photos though!

I think it hasbeen in the past but recently, ok the past year or so ithas settled down, and yes, there are some people who don't care whose feelings they hurt but they mean well enough.

So at the moment my answer is NO. I have been given plenty of support in Soap Box and since the loss of my girl and thats something I really appreciate xx

I did think it was cliquey when I first started posting.
But after a while you see people come and go (bans or their own choice!) and it all settles down again. I think though some people do gravitate to certain forums though? and they dont always cross into other forums so it appears cliquey?
ie. if you posted in aad and didnt own a advanced eventer you might not be going into CR very often? but on the whole there is a good balance of advice and help if needed and the rudeness or nasty comments can be ignored;)

It's the least cliquey forum I know, which really surprised me. Even the people that seem to band together for a bit of banter are always welcoming to anyone who wants to join in. I really enjoy it here now.
