Looking to start eventing my mare. Shes still young was just wondering in terms of Obstacles, ditches Combinations etc if their is much difference. I Know the height will be but just want to have a good first run shes capable of the height. Thanks.

Get a simple BE90 and there isn't much difference, some are tougher than others so it's worth looking round and seeing which tend to be straightforward and then go with that. Good luck :)

I think if you do suitable for a first timer then no but for example I did chilham and would do poplar at start of season but great witchingham seemed rather tough so think that would be a very big step up there.

i haven't seen many 80s TBH but the ones i have seen are much simpler than the equivalent 90s...the fences look a lot smaller and the combinations very straightforwards....i'd say that if you've been to some unafiliated over 80cm then you'd be fine going in at 90 as they are really quite straightforward....

I did Berriewood BE80 last year, and walking the course it was a little bit simpler than the 90 track. The combinations were a bit easier and you only had to canter through the water with no jumps.

However it was still testing with a few tricky jumps making good use of undulating ground, definitely a step up from the unaffiliateds I've done which tend to be a bit easy peasy until you get to 1m!

Well the biggest difference is that you don't need to join BE to do the 80 tests so it's a much cheaper way do seeing if your horse will event!
