Is there a Adult Pony club?

random question i know but is there such a thing? As when i do start to get somewhere with my horse id like to go to something like this?

Yes! I went to one this year with the Hadlow Riding Club at Plumpton College in East Sussex. It was fantastic, had a flat and jumping lesson each day, went hacking on the downs, did XC and had a show. It was great to have 5 days of pure horseiness!

Going again in 2009!

oh cool! i wouldnt be able to join untill iv atleast got jumping him so will be a while yet need a couple of weeks for just the walk as im re-training him

i did an adult pony club camp in Sept which was awesome and didn't have to belong to pony/riding club. think theres quite a few around.

Im based in berkshire as well and berkshire riding club are very good always have lots of clinics and events on

I wish there was an exact replica of the pony club for adults.... this may sound a little sado-masochist but I prefered the DC/instructor screaming at you, giving you a kick up the backside and making you do things. I find riding clubs often pander to the "scared middle aged woman" (awful stereotype but i think everyone on here knows one) group. I have confidence issues but unlike alot of people I've realised I just need a kick up the bum!

Ezme I totally agree with you... I achieved so much more as a kid with a scary instructor than as an adult with a nice sympathetic one. We all need a kick up the a*se sometimes I think!

Wooo I'm not the only one! Thing is, it was the same instructor who had made me cry a few years before but get her in her adult lessons and shes a right softie!
