This has also been post in NL but thought it may be better suited to CR.

I've put my horse up for sale and have so far had no response.

So my question is; is there a market for the older horse and would you buy one?

My horse is only 16, is in hard work and is a native so has plenty of miles left on the clock so I don't understand it really.

So if there's any advice on selling also that would be most appreciated!

I think there is a market for older schoolmaster type with a good record, not necessarily at a high level, it will appeal to the more knowledgeable PC home or for mum child share that are looking for an uncomplicated pony ready to go and have fun on.

I am slightly confused though by your description, you call him a horse but say he is a native so is he a registered native pony in which case there should be a good market for him especially through the PC.

If you want to pm a link to the ad I will give you any suggestions I have.

If he's under 15hh and nice and sensible/ good all rounder he'd be in much demand as a PC pony I'd imagine, although the price would have to reflect his age somewhat...
