Is there a 'normal' amount for a dog to vomit?

One of ours seems to vomit quite alot. He sleeps indoors and several mornings a week I'll have to wipe up a puke; it's never very big, doesn't contain any of his previous night's meal (is always watery) but often contains bits of grass. In every other respect he's very healthy; very active shiny coat, bright eyes, etc. Ideas anyone?

Both of mine do this quite often. In the mornings they sometimes go grazing like cows! Then sometimes (not all the time) one of them can be sick. I was told that they eat grass when they have a stomach upset, and it helps them, but sometimes they eat too much which makes them sick. Its got less often lately though, but Dante has a really sensitive tum so he usually does it if he's found something and eaten what he shouldnt.

I think he's been doing it for a while. Another of our dogs seems to graze like a cow but is hardly ever sick

A friends lab x vomits. It's like snail gunge. Quite sticky and watery. Not nice but they had him checked out by the vet and he said it was normal.

My 13-year old spaniel used to vomit bile a lot during the last year of her life when her kidneys were failing. If your dog is old it might be worth mentioning it to the vet.
