Is there a tack cleaner/soap that will make my saddle sticky?

As above, I'd like to make my saddle a little stickier. If there a product that will give this effect?
They sell the Belvoir soapy stuff in the Go Outdoors near me, otherwise it's a trip to Robinsons. Any experience?

Thanks

I use a golfing product for my leather seated side saddle, names rubbed off but it's used to aid grip on a golf club and comes in a small tube like a lip stick but slightly bigger, hope that helps!

I used some spray stuff once which was meant to make the saddle sticky. It did but the problem was all it did was make my jods stick to it which was horrid! So if I wanted to do rising trot, my jod material stayed stuck to the saddle when I rose - if that makes sense! Im looking to get one of those Gel Out pads instead, think they'd be better.

The Gel Out seat saver is very B tempting. But I worry about becoming reliant in something like that. Would you get to a point where you can't ride without it?

My saddle has a grained texture to it and when I bought it the saddler suggested using Stubben Hamanol to condition it as it would help with the grip on the saddle.
It does seem to work, it is a conditioner so it does help protect the leather, it makes my saddle look clean and shiny and it does improve grip.
Its in an orange coloured tube and you put it on with a cloth, a little goes a long way.

Do they sell any of these products in the likes of Robinsons, I was hoping to try it this weekend. Also, what are the best type of jodhpurs, suede type seat or the ones with the little bumps on? For a better grip I mean. ..
thanks

Couldn't find Hamanol on their website, but quite a few places do stock it.
I've got suede seat breeches and I find they are quite grippy.
Not used the ones with the bumps on them, but have seen breeches with silicone strip knee patches that seem pretty sticky.

A friend had something similar years ago at a comp. They put it on my saddle seat, general leg position area and the inside of my leather boots before the XC and I HATED it!!

I found I could not move naturally in my seat and when needing to adjust weight/leg position it interfered. It actually put me more off-balance and found it harder to concentrate on the job in hand.

Maybe I'm just too hard to please....

Ha I get that! My mare's just spooky. It's the sidewards exit that gets me. I know I just need an immovable seat, but I'm just looking for a little extra security at the moment.

Ah, the good 'ol sidedoor eh! Each horse comes equipped with 2 ;p

I really can't remember the name of the stuff, but it was a roll-on stick.

Apparently those Gel Out seatsavers give the rider more grip. To be fair, been away from the horsey scene for long enough to be out of touch with all these new-fangled gadgets! Hope you find something to give you a bit of stickiness!
