Is there a trailer with a MAM of 1100kg or less?

Look at the Bateson Derby. 675kg unloaded. Remember that what it says in your car handbook is a recommendation not a legal requirement. Towing easy and ability depends on other factors including how much you pack in the tow car. Loading it up would slow you down but stabilise the train.
