Ok, So my mare gave birth nearly 6 weeks ago. But she looks just as big as she did the day she foaled. Is this normal?
Is there another in there?

If she got fat whilst she was pregnant then she will still be big- is she fat all over (can you feel her ribs? have you condition scored her bum?)

Take him!! The big looney is on box rest at the moment as he has twisted his coffin joint hooning around in the field - fortunately no serious damage caused but it is very irritating

I would imagine it is just excess weight that she gained whilst being pregnant

Its all on her belly i can feel her ribs, she has a nice covering. its just her belly that hangs. Maybe it will all tighten back up once shes back in work
