Is there any chance of my horse turning grey?...

My 3 year old has grey hairs all over his flanks, belly and bum and a few in his tail. They are sparse but noticeable and he has quite a large amount on his face (cheek) and a white patch the size of a 50p on his flank (not sure if this is a scar). Both of his parents are brown/black but his grandad is a grey arab. Some of his dam's siblings are grey too.

I would like to know if he is going to turn grey but before I send off for a genetics test is it impossible to have a grey foal from two brown/black parents? I don't know anything about colour genetics...

If neither of his parents are grey, then they cannot pass the grey gene on to him. He could be sabino or rabicano.
