Eventing and Dressage, although my two girls at present are only now coming 4, so just dressage this year!!
My old chap may go out a bit, but we shall wait and see.
Wow it is a small world, so where abouts are you? and how many horses do you have, who do you train with??
I have two horses, and ride one for someone else.
I have lessons with George Marriott, who's amazing, can give you her number if you're looking for anyone.
Its always good to see friendly faces, its a shame you not looking, im new to devon, from norfolk! so finding it dificult to get a client base? Any one whos looking I have many many references! etc
I think its a fair rate for someone teaching to Novice level BE but obviously very dependant on individual methods which comes down to preference. You may find it hard at first as it is a very horsey area and we are lucky to have quite a lot of high standard eventers round and abouts. If you are out competing though (even if only dressage this year) if you are getting good results and you get notices put up at those venues i'm sure you will start picking up business. Word of mouth is always best down here as well so get yourself out and about and sell yourself so to speak!!
I am very lucky to only pay £10 for 30mins (but always run over to nearer an hour) with a rider who has been BD open nov champ and ridden/trained to small tour, and who gets very good results out of me and my horse. Even better she is at the same yard so no travelling
Yes that sounds fab, I have spoken with sarah cheetham for training for myself, you heard of her, what you think?
Id quite like to get in with a few riding clubs etc, but dont really know where to start!!
So busy concentrating on me youngsters.
Thankyou so much for your help though, im very greatful, the bad thing is if I dont get some extra lessons to help, I wont be competing this year, so I wont be advertising!
Once again, thanks for your help, oo also who is your instructor?
that sounds really good.... do you travel? i may be getting a 3 year old which i intend to back my self but could do with a back up plan just incase... do you have an email or anything>?
Now this is really bad but I can never spell her surname
She is basically a very good amateur and only teaches a few of us on the yard here and there. She was national champ in the days of Goodwood before Stoneleigh!! Been out of the loop a bit competition wise as her old Small Tour horse now does para dressage. She had one mare up and coming but some injury and illness problems have stifled her at elementary, She has a cracking gelding coming through now though which has done well in the young horse classes (well as good as can be expected without spending shedloads of money on a youngster!) and novice/elementary and after a year out he is coming out at medium/advanced medium.
Yes heard of Sarah, never had lessons of her myself but she is well respected in the area from what I hear.
As for riding clubs ring up the committee etc and offer your services unless you ask you don't know!
