I wont share links or details but my neighbour has been trying to sell her pony for almost 3 months and has not had one single caller.

The pony is in the right price range, is under 9, has BSPS winnings to its name but is only 12hh.

Is there no market for small second riddens ? It just seems crazy. Theyve been in the H&H twice with no biters at all... all very odd.

I think there are a lot of 12hh 2nd riddens out there..... If it was a 1st ridden you'd have people queuing around the block!

I think there are a lot of ponies out there, and so people are being quite picky about what they go to see. A friend of mine is looking for a 13.2 and has printed off dozens of ads so certainly no shortage.

Can she get a bit more on his cv? As a mum I would always prefer an all rounder to a show pony, if it said done pc camp, rallies, can jump small courses, that would interest me far more than any showing wins.

Have hopefully just sold my sons 11.1 lead rein/first ridden all rounder(well wont say she is definitely sold until I have the money in my hand;)) have been actively advertising her for just under a month on here and PC website, so looks like I have been lucky.
Now have the nightmare of finding a replacement, looking at finding a 13.2 to 14.hh depending on build of pony. A few weeks ago there were loads that I liked the sound of, now they all seem 2hrs drive away. Typical:rolleyes:

What area are you in? May know of something...

I sold my 14hh alrounder to the first person who phoned an hour after it went on the pc web site. My friend is also selling a nice 13.2 but has had no luck so far. Liz

The bigger ones seem to go quite quickly - I think it's due to all the kids these days being huge, with great long legs - God Knows what they're being fed on - I'm 5 ft and even 10 yr olds seem to be towering above me now:eek:

The problem is there so many second riddens about at that height they need to be first ridden as a second ridden child would outgrow a 12hh pretty quick ive got a queue for my daugters 11.3 first ridden showing/pc pony and people are willing to pay alot of money for him but i can put any child on him and trust him to to go off he also jumps hacks has numerous showing qualifcations this year all with a child straight off the lead. My advice would be to get some schooling under his belt and aim to produce a first ridden true ones are like gold dust and also make alot more money.
