Is there such a thing as a satin full-body rug liner?

Just wondered! I'd love to buy a couple for the forth coming winter but cannot find any anywhere. I dont really want stretchy lycra (got those already) but want something light, soft and easy to wash to use under my main rugs. Any ideas?

Just curious why would you use one - is it for warmth or to stop rugs rubbing?

'Cos they're light and very easy to wash and keep clean. I have a very sensitive horse and need to keep her rugs very clean. It's just so much easier to quickly wash a satin liner than her big 6ft 9in rugs in the washing machine. With a liner I can wash them weekly. :)

Do you know anyone who is handy with a sewing machine who could maybe make them for you ?
Should be quite straightforward. Take measurements of your horse, use something like a cotton summer sheet as a pattern, buy the materials and have them made to size. ;)

Interesting post - I gave up on liners after my lycra ones just stretched right back to the point they were practically strangling the horse! Didnt know they did satin ones. Be great to have something like this to keep turnouts clean underneath or else they get that horrid greasy layer!

Yeah, exactly. Found I had the same problem with my Lycra stretchies pullingout of shape. Even the expensive ones.

BTW I tried to purchase a couple from http://www.haddonparkrugs.com/Body-Liners.html but they returned my payment saying they didn't ship outside of Oz due to shipping costs. I've now purchased a couple of silky petticoat liners from SnuggyHoods as they've now got the 6'6" ones in-stock. Thanks :)
