Is there such a thing as a 'tap cage' to protect yard tap?

Have been looking for a tap cage to protect my yard tap - not from frost, but from horses rubbing on it. Can't seem to find such a thing - what do others use to protect their tap, if anything?

My YO has popped on a bird box of all things! It is to help with frosts but could do the job for you

I've put some wood around the tap and have enough room to fit my hand in to turn it on/off, also have been known to fill it with straw which helps it to not freeze.

Ahhh, a bird box - I like that idea thank you! Will get creative tomorrow with some bits of wood I think...

Shysmum I have one, it works but we end up putting something inside to pad it more if its very cold, certainly better than not having it, but not perfect!
