Brought a new hat this weekend and was sooooo very excited to ride in it (this is how exciting my life is, getting excited about a new riding hat!!!) so popped over to my friends yard to have a riding lesson on her mare. She had me on the lunge doing some bizzare exercises to try and sort out my crookedness and stop me relying on my hands for balance .....

So found myself cantering on the lunge with arms out to the side with strict instructions to keep my eyes close and 'feel through my seat' which was going surprisingly well until the mare bucked and I felt the floor!

Is my new hat now cursed?!?! :o

What crazy things has your riding instructor made you do during lessons? :D
 
Not me but my mum had a lesson when younger from a very well known horse rider now who worked on balance by throwing Tennis balls at them :o :D she has threatened to do it to me when i grip with my knees lol
