finally getting round to writing an advert for Dan to stick up at local feed merchants etc for a loaner/sharer. Anyway I thought I would go for the semi amusing vein of ads but is this a bit too honest?

"Loaner/sharer required for 17H2 13yo Victor meldrew donkey impersonator. Former semi-decent showjumper seeking quieter life following injury. Is a gentle giant but possibly the biggest wimp known to earth. Suit confident happy hacker or someone wanting to do some low level dressage, before injury was schooled medium/advanced medium and should return to same level. Strict rule of no jumping at current time due to injury. Only hacks in company as will nap/spook on own. To be kept on current yard near ........ (see no advertising me

) where plenty of hacking company available. Only for loan/share due to lack of time."

So what do you think? bit too honest maybe? As said will only put this up in local tack shops etc as only going to get someone very local as I'm an annoying one who (currently) refuses to let him leave the yard.

i think seeing as it is a loan/share it is a lovely ad, as your being upfront about things that they will only find out ;later on!!

just got to write it up and put it up now and then hope someone suitable does come along. I know I will get a few novices who think they are better than they are. He will soon weed them out though

almost need someone who has been there done that and no longer wants the teeshirt so to speak. As although *fingers firmly crossed* he should be more than capable of doing a bit of dressage again it will only seriously be to unaffiliated standards as he finds it so hard now to flex his hocks to really engage due to injuries!

Please tell me why I got a horse who would probably feign lameness if a feather hit him!!!!! :insertrollingeyessmileyhere:

That is definitely a great advert, and one that I would respond to. A lot of the adverts sound a bit po-faced and over-serious and i am always a bit intimidated to reply to them. Yours sounds like you have both a super horse and a great sense of humour, and you come across as someone who would be good to share with.
