Please tell me people don't pay £8 to groom a horse when there are charities with horses dying for a fuss?! I cannot believe this is actually a business idea - is it common?

Don't see a problem with it.

Horses get attention, hopefully overseen by an experienced person!

I've never seen charities advertising for people to come and pet/groom their animals.

sounds like some sort of riding school, as it says riding available at extra cost? Sorry to be picky but its £6 not £8 and its for a whole morning or afternoon, not just give the horse a brush, unless I have misread it. Quite a good idea for thos that dont normally have access to horses. They might want to check their spellings though

They definitely need to proof read it - both you and Tiapony are correct - it says £6 in the header and £8 in the text.

Maybe my lot can start to earn their keep!

I do know that people organise pony parties now.

As long as they're all insured I say good for them!

In these hard times you have to be creative to make money, and if people are willing to pay it I'd certainly be willing to take it!
