Interesting point.My reply is that you wouldn't be in the (theoretical)shoes of the owner in the OP as you wouldn't let your horses' welfare be of concern to anybody else would you? Going back here to the possibility it may not have been checked for several months..We all see things differently, we could pick holes in replies all week long, it wouldn't change my point of view, or yours,and that's fine and dandy with me.

Hello again Shilasdair,can't resist reading your posts again

There are still some points you aren't replying to accurately but am all for agreeing that we have very different ways of doing some things. And for the record, I have not complained to admin, I did ask them if they thought some people had gone a bit ott towards my original posts on this thread,as tbh I felt quite upset at some of the things you said, which weren't relevant to the post and think they nabbed JMO7 for swearing as an aside. I asked for some feedback as I was worried I had said something completely out of order, turns out I hadn't but I accept I did retort back to you with some feeling.You seem the type who would appreciate a bit of spirit anyway

I have not called anybody names,I commented on how posts came across, big difference there.A lot of people have pm'd me about this post,supporting me with things they daren't say on an open forum,for fear of being anhilated on here, which is a shame. Personally I like everybody to get along, even if they disagree,am sure it's been said before that it can get a bit heated here.

I'm big enough to apologise for upsetting your sensibilities,it was not intentional and a total shock that I had, after all I was only talking about a possible neglect case.

Ok, it's too hot for disemboweling, so I'll leave it til winter.
I didn't mean to upset you - sorry, but I was trying to explain that some horses have really odd individual quirks (like my mare not being able to eat grass without restriction). Without knowing this about her, and the fact I hay her instead, it would look like I am starving my three (well, if you didn't look at their bellies, lol).
I do like discussions, and it takes a lot to offend my sensibilities

. I don't mean any of it personally against anyone, just in my mind the arguments are separated from the individuals, and I assume everyone thinks like me.
If I am ever the victim of a 'phantom rug remover', I'll know who it was, lol.

Erm I had been ignoring your posts until today,didn't even know you had allegedly called me a nutter ??!! Looks like it has been deleted as can't find it.

Admin looked into the whole thread apparently as I said it may have gone a bit ott, that's all.

If you did call somebody a nutter then you did deserve a bit of a ticking off tho,tbh.Anyway hope that's the end of it now.Is it?

Sorry not been on to post, had a busy weekend.
BHS welfare officer called me yesterday morning to say she was really concerned that the horse was extremely hot and sweaty under its MEDIUM weight rug (like I said MEDIUM!!!!

). The horse is really thin, its shetland companion has bad sweet itch, and she did not feel there to be enough grazing for them.
Due to there being so many things wrong they have got to pass this case on to the RSPCA (would have rang them 1st if I knew BHS could not really help!!????).
So have to wait & see what happens next.
