i've found a very nice looking hat on ebay, and it's only £24 plus P&P.
i'm not experienced when it comes to looking for good helmets, i've only ever had a charles owens one, when i was younger. i don't ride much now.

here is the hat: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gatehouse...ing_MJ&var=&hash=item27c736a517#ht_2647wt_956

when i went to research this hat, i couldn't find anything ANYWHERE! nothing about it, no reviews, hell i couldn't even find the same image on google image search either!

is it fake? i really don't know. i think maybe it's branded wrong...

it is a gatehouse, so in theory yes but I think they are discontinued now so probably been sitting around for a while. If it's a cheaper Gatehouse you want have a look at their F1

i'm not sure what you mean?
of course i know we all have different shaped heads...the seller accepts returns and it is undamaged as is brand new.

my question was about the hat itself, not the fit.

thank you! i thought it may have been discontinued, i was just a little put off that i couldn't find anything on the internet about it anywhere.
i will have a look at their other helmets, i've been helmet hunting for weeeeeks!

Sorry, the site is reputable but ...
"Prequestrian always recommends having a professional hat fitting prior to purchasing a hat online. We do this because measuring for a hat is more than taking a tape around the head. Head shape needs to match the hat shape as well."

FRONT PAGE NEWS..... humans have different shapes and sizes of head............... go to a shop and try them on
Only ever buy a new hat [ie undamaged] and to current standard

Fully agree. Life's too short to risk it by wearing a hat that may or may not fit - and you may not really know but a skilled fitter will be able to. I bought online before but last time was fitted in a shop and would always to the same again. I only have one life.

to be honest i wouldnt take the chance on whether it was fake or not. you only have one life. so if you value it?pay the money and get the right one fitted and it will be money well spent. i had an accident about 2 months ago when my horse threw me, then accidently caught me with a glancing blow to my helmet. thank god for my money well spent. seriously it's a no brainer for me : )
