Recently my mare has been bitted, lunged, sat on etc, but been having issue's with her going forward (she'll bronc till your off) whether lead or not......

So as the weather is so rubbish, rather than trying to continue, or doing small bits and peices, think its worth just letting her be? Out in the field, 24/7 bringing her in for a quick groom and feed?

Yes. Many people do back horses in the summer/autumn and then turn them away for the winter (although there's nothing to say that you HAVE to do so). I did it when I backed each of my boys - although they were handled daily (not necessarily brought in, groomed or anything - sometimes they were just caught to be checked over then turned out again). I did, however, do some intermittent walking in hand with mine and the odd bit of long-lining (not to a regular pattern, just on an ad-hoc basis when I had time to spare during the short winter days). I didn't start riding them away again until the spring. My boys certainly didn't suffer from this very "loose" regime.

If she's broncing under saddle, it goes without saying that when you re-start her again in the spring it would be a good idea to get her back and the saddle checked. However you say she's also broncing in-hand (meaning that it doesn't involve a saddle) - that's something I won't advise on because I never had that problem with any of my 3 boys - but I'm sure there are plenty of others on here who can advise on that.
