Is this a stop?

It didn't look like a stop, more of a hesitation. The problem is that if it was an unaffiliated competition, the fence judge may have little or no experience.

My friend was a fence judge on fence one at a Riding Club National XC qualifier, her only experience of cross country was walking around Badminton with me on XC day a few years previously.

Otherwise you both looked great!

Only jump judge unaff and but to me definitly not a stop.

But I also say well done to you for deciding it's just one of those things, respecting the rule about the judges decision being final and taking it all in good grace.

There was a slight step sideways. I had to watch it several times to be sure but i guess this would be classed as interuption in forward movement which is what you were probably penalised for

I don't think it should be but it probably could be counted as one if the judge was being a bitch.

That once happened to me at in pony club class at a BE event - I was only about 12 and the only person doing it from my pony club - the fence judge was a pony club mum from our branch and she gave me a stop!!! I was well pissed off!

Christ! If that is a stop then there is absolutely no point in me entering any affiliated events for a while yet. Looks like I'm going to be sticking with RC stuff for the forseeable future.

A x
