I am of on holls at the end of the month only for a week, and thought I would send my 5yr old to my teacher for the week. She will ride him every other day and progress his jumping. We have had real trouble with poles and monday was the 1st time we got hm over a jump

I just feel like its cheating a bit as I want to do all the work but anouther part of me thinks it will be nice to come back from holls and have him a step further on

Also as I run a livery yard it means I dont have to ask anyone to look after him they can just all do there own for the week Im away

I think this is a great idea and you will probably find he will mature a bit, being somewhere new etc. Go for it, definitely not cheating!

Not cheating at all, Buck is going away to livery while I am on holiday and will be schooled by my instructor.

Think of it the other way it is a very good idea to let others on your horse occasionally so don’t become completely dependant on you. This is just a part of his education.

Definitely not cheating, just teaching your horse to accept another rider.

Not cheating at all! My trained gets on both of mine every so often to teach them new stuff, to work them a bit harder than I do, to show me how to do something, etc. They also go to her place when I am on holiday, best thing for them!!
