Explains a bit more, doesn't it? A fox having been shot and wounded, now unable to hunt or hold its territory in the wild is forced to resort to trying to raid a hen house, where it finally succumbs to its injury/infection after who knows how many days of suffering...

Perhaps cause of death no longer a mystery and classic example of the point that the hunting lobby has been making for years; that it's injured, sick and old foxes that are most likely to be a pest to humans.

This is the reality of the "humane" alternative to hunting with dogs that the anti-hunt lobby try to peddle...
