I have answered an advert for a french bulldog puppy. There are two and they are very cheap. The owner says they have to get rid as new landlord will only allow birds as pets . The ad says they come with crate and food etc and will be delivered! I have now asked for photos but do you think the reply will be asking for money? Well I will see , can't see it being normal as french bulldogs are very expensive usually.
The chaps name is Elijah, does this ring any bells?
 
It could be genuine but it's odd that he bought 2 pups before checking he could keep dogs, odd that he says he'll deliver as why would he, and odd that he's selling them cheap. I'd do some serious checking and get a good look at them and their papers before parting with any cash.
 
There are several 'can deliver' small ads in our local paper, I'd be wary.

I don't know about your area, but I read the pets for sale sections avidly and this is the first time I have ever noticed 'can deliver' ads, never mind three or four in one week.
 
I would call his bluff and go see them where they live. After all, you don't want doggies who may have been stolen, or worse still (as at least stolen may be healthy) those from a puppy farmer.
 
I would definitely go and see the pup in its current home. "Can deliver" always makes me think of puppy farmer I have to admit' If he has recently bought them and they have papers you should be able to find out who the breeder is and find out a bit more about them.
 
I would say so!! If it sounds to good to be true it will be. Its a time old scam. What they will do is say that they will deliver and that the dogs are in Aberdeen or some other remote location so as that you are un-likely to be able to go see them. They will ask you to wire money for the delivery that will never come. It happens with cars too. I have known people selling vehicles get ripped off in a simalar way. I work in a bank and have seen this scam a number of times.
 
Sounds dodgy to me. Explore further, just make sure you don't hand over any money before actually meeting the pups -in these situations most of the pups don't actually exist...
